Eric Wilburn is the Program Officer for Nature Finance at the Bezos Earth Fund. Before joining the Earth Fund, he was an independent consultant supporting corporates, philanthropists and financial institutions develop strategies to scale finance for nature and natural climate solutions.
After a childhood exploring the rainforests of Olympic National Park in Washington State, Eric spent his early career on the ground in Sub-Saharan Africa managing community development and conservation programs as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique and then as Director of Programs for the Legado Initiative. Subsequently, Eric developed business models for nature conservation and restoration as Head of Business Development for Gorongosa National Park and building investment cases and fundraising for nature-based carbon projects as Head of Product at Earthshot Labs.
Eric holds two masters degrees from Stanford University in Environmental Engineering and Public Policy. He has a B.A. in Environmental Engineering from Tufts University.
