Melissa Harman

Melissa Harman is the Accounting Manager at the Bezos Earth Fund. She works closely with the Director of Finance/Controller and is responsible for the daily management of accounting functions and operations. Melissa manages the monthly and year-end accounting cycles and supports the preparation of annual financial statements and other IRS tax documents.

Before joining the Earth Fund, Melissa spent 10 years in public accounting providing finance, accounting, tax compliance and assurance services. Previously, she was a Manager at BDO where she managed international engagements, in addition to providing outsourced accounting and consulting services to nonprofits and businesses. Her experience also includes consulting in the Government and Public Sector at a Big Four firm. Melissa holds a B.S degree in Accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Virginia.
